Base Pay: $18–$19/hour + Uncapped Commission + Company Truck

Hydrex Pest Control Co. of San Diego is a local, family-owned and operated pest control company that has proudly served the San Diego community since 1921. We're growing and looking for an experienced Termite Renewal Inspector to join our dedicated termite renewal department.

This is a customer-facing field position combining termite inspections, customer relationships, and sales. If you're a licensed Branch 3 professional who takes pride in your work, enjoys helping customers, and wants the ability to directly impact your earning potential, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform thorough termite and wood-destroying organism inspections on residential and commercial properties for existing customers.
  • Inspect interiors, exteriors, attics, crawl spaces, foundations, subareas, and other accessible areas.
  • Identify termite activity, damage, moisture concerns, and conditions conducive to future activity.
  • Document findings with accurate photographs, measurements, notes, and inspection reports.
  • Recommend appropriate termite treatments, corrective solutions, and wood repairs based on inspection findings.
  • Clearly explain findings, treatment options, preventative measures, and recommended next steps to customers.
  • Prepare and present proposals for appropriate Branch 3 services.
  • Communicate treatment plans to termite technicians for fulfillment when applicable.
  • Follow up with customers regarding recommendations and proposed services.
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships through honest communication and dependable follow-through.
  • Generate commission through recommended termite and wood repair services and, when appropriately licensed, pest and rodent control services.
  • Manage your daily inspection schedule and maintain accurate customer documentation.

Compensation & Benefits:
Total Compensation: $48,000–$75,000 annually.
  • $18–$19/hour base pay.
  • Uncapped commission.
  • Additional performance-based compensation opportunities, including customer reviews and competitions.

There is no cap on commission earnings, giving motivated inspectors the opportunity to increase their compensation through performance and sales.

What We're Looking For:
  • California Branch 3 license required.
  • At least 1 year of Termite inspection experience required.
  • Branch 2 Field Representative license preferred.
  • Knowledge of termites, wood-destroying organisms, structural conditions, and termite treatment options.
  • Ability to identify termite activity, damage, and conducive conditions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting recommendations and closing service opportunities.
  • Professional, personable, and able to build trust with customers.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Organized and capable of managing a daily inspection schedule.
  • Comfortable using mobile technology and modern software platforms.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment background screening.

Physical Requirements:
This is an active field position. Candidates must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, entering attics and crawl spaces, using ladders, navigating uneven surfaces, and bending, kneeling, crawling, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
You'll also spend time driving throughout the San Diego service area between customer appointments.
